Strategies in use during the Corona Virus pandemic
In the wake of the Corona Virus pandemic Schools have been closed down, churches have also been shut down. However the department has to carry out its basic functions. The diocesan education day was scheduled for 23rd May 2020. It is during this day that the department mobilizes resources to meet its budget allocation. With the above challenges the department has come up with the following strategies:
  1. Remind the parishes through the Archdeacons of their quota allocation
  2. Hold discussions with the sponsored primary and secondary schools to remit their education day contributions to the department
  3. Persuade the guests who have been invited for the education day fund raising to remit their contributions by the said date.- this might require a PAYBILL NUMBER
  4. Hold meetings with the formal education committee to update them on the above strategies and get from them any other method that can be utilized.
