At the national conference hosted by ACK Kirinyaga Diocese, believers gathered to delve into the theme of “Becoming Responsible in Salvation” as inspired by Mark 11:12-14 and the principles of the East Africa Revival movement.
Foundation in Scripture
The sermon drew from the encounter of Jesus with the barren fig tree, highlighting the importance of bearing fruit in the Christian life. Just as Jesus found no fruit on the tree, believers were urged to reflect on their own lives and the fruitfulness of their faith.
Four Pillars of Christian Practice:
- Repentance: Embracing a life of repentance is the first step toward spiritual renewal. It involves turning away from sin and aligning one’s life with God’s will.
- Testimony: Bearing witness to the transformative power of God in one’s life is essential for sharing the Gospel effectively. Testimonies serve as a powerful tool for inspiring others to seek salvation.
- Making Right: Acknowledging and rectifying wrongs is crucial for maintaining a pure and blameless walk with God. This involves reconciliation with others and restitution where necessary.
- Walking in Light: Living a life of transparency and integrity, walking in the light of God’s truth ensures spiritual vitality and fellowship with God and fellow believers.
The Path to Godly Living
These pillars serve as the pathway to godly living and ultimately, to eternal life. By embracing responsibility in salvation and practicing these principles, believers are empowered to lead lives of spiritual abundance and impact.
As attendees departed from the conference, they were challenged to apply these principles in their daily lives, knowing that through repentance, testimony, reconciliation, and walking in the light, they are fulfilling their calling as faithful disciples of Christ.
