The Development Department is an aggressive and proactive department within the Diocese that has a core mandate of facilitating and supervising all the construction processes of buildings and other projects. It also helps in tendering and procurement of building material for the Diocesan departments.

Achievements so Far
- Successful mobilization of funds towards the construction of Kerugoya Business Complex in the year 2018 and 2019.
- Commencing of the Kerugoya House project. The ground floor slab is laid and form work for the First-Floor slab is on progress.
- Started the process of subdivision of KUTUS MJINI plot A and B to facilitate closing the road that passes though the Old Office Hall.
- Facilitated the Diocesan departments in tendering, procuring, and acquisition of building materialseg. KAMA and Education Department.
- Refencing of the Diocesan office to pave way for Tarmacking of the main road adjacent to the office.
- Formation of a working Kerugoya House Financing taskforce that has embarked on how to financing the Kerugoya House Project.

To achieve the following, the Department during this period of pandemic, will do the following:

Utilize online uses which including video conferencing to communicate with relevant committees for planning, evaluation and laying of workable strategies.

Engage positively with Clergy and other stakeholders in mobilizing of resources.

Sending pictures and constant updates of the progress of the Project to the Clergy and other stakeholders using social media and relevant medium for motivation and information (information is power).
