ACTIVITIES FOR M.U DEPARTMENT
- Mothers’ Union Enrollment
The MU Enrolment takes place every year in the seven Archdeaconries from the month of June. In the year 2023, we enrolled a total number of 726 ladies. So far a total of 201 ladies have been enrolled in 2 Archdeaconries for the year 2024.
2. M.U Talent Week and Rally
Every year parishes hold well-coordinated Talent weeks whose activities include reaching out to the left-out people in the community like the street children, poverty stricken etc.
We also hold an annual rally and funds drive to support the running of the department as well as the projects aimed at future self-sustenance of the department.
This year we held a successful one and managed to raise 4.76M Kenyan Shillings.Thanks to God and all our guests and stakeholders who generously supported us.
We are inviting any willing donors, groups or individuals to support our next project “THE PHASE 2 OF MU BETHEL HOUSE”.

3. Capacity Building for M.U Leaders
Every year the MU Leaders are taken through seminars and training on issues related to leadership and other topical issues which are expected to cascade down to all the ladies in the Churches. The topics already addressed, among others are Mental Health and Wellness, Qualities of a good Leader, Financial Management and bookkeeping, Dealing with challenges of singlehood in women and Operation ‘‘Okoa doa’’for Young mothers.
Newly elected leaders were taken through their roles as leaders and qualities of a good leader in the seven archdeaconries.
4. M.U Clothing Business
In an effort to self-sustenance, we endeavored to start a clothing business, targeting the MU uniform, school uniform and even personal clothing.
We invite those of you with schools and institutions to consider us for tenders to make and supply whatever clothing and items you need. You are free to come and fit your personal outfits, Sunday school uniform, clergy shirts, clergy & lay readers robes. Visit us at our Diocesan Shop and you will not be disappointed. Our products are neat and our prices competitive
5. MU Bethel House 1
The Mothers’ Union Department was able to complete a 15 unit 2 bedroom apartments at Kutus. The houses are well finished, secure, spacious and affordable. We endeavor to start the Bethel House Phase 2. It is our prayer that you will continue supporting our projects for the Glory of God.
6. MU Choir Festivals
In the year 2024, MU will be participating in the MU Music festivals in collaboration with the Choir Department. The ladies will be performing a set piece and a folk song own composition.
